Questions

What are OEM Toner Cartridges?

OEM toner cartridges are cartridges that are produced by the original equipment manufacturer. For instance, if you have purchased a Sharp multi-function printer, by purchasing a toner cartridge manufactured by Sharp you would be purchasing an OEM toner cartridge for your machine.

What are the advantages of OEM Toner Cartridges?

Being manufactured by the original equipment manufacturer, OEM cartridges represent high quality and reliability. With an OEM toner cartridge, you also have the guarantee or warranty that big brand names can offer.

What are the disadvantages of OEM Toner Cartridges?

While OEM cartridges are high quality, they also carry the highest price point. Similar to purchasing a Band-Aid brand box of bandages vs. a box of Walgreen’s bandages, with the name-brand product, you are paying for the name—and all that stands behind that. Compatible Toner Cartridges

What are Compatible Toner Cartridges?

Compatible toner cartridges are produced by third-party manufacturers. The toner cartridge is made from an OEM cartridge that has been returned or recycled. The compatible toner cartridge has been cleaned and a new virgin core and new drum have been inserted, just like the OEM cartridges.

What are the advantages of Compatible Toner Cartridges?

Compatible toner cartridges have the same yield as OEM toner cartridges, but at a better price point. Those that we sell at Copes are guaranteed 100% for up to one year after purchase. They are also tested and approved by the manufacturer, so you are guaranteed quality. Remanufactured Toner Cartridges

What are Remanufactured Toner Cartridges?

Sellers of remanufactured toner cartridges take a compatible or OEM cartridge that has been returned or recycled and refill it, and then they resell the cartridge.

What are the advantages of Remanufactured Toner Cartridges?

Just like compatible toner cartridges, remanufactured toner cartridges can be purchased at a lower price point than OEM cartridges.

Questions To Ask When Getting a Copier

Copiers come in a wide range of sizes, capabilities and prices. A professional who occasionally makes a few, high-quality copies has different needs than a small business. While some features are costly, sometimes it is just a matter of asking the right questions and getting the model that can do what you want.

What is the monthly volume capacity?

Manufacturers design copiers and their parts for particular maximum monthly numbers of copies. Higher volume copiers have a more rugged construction. Using a copier for copy volumes beyond their design capacity will likely result in early breakdown.

How much are the Copy Charges?

The purchase price of the copier is only one factor in the cost of making copies. Sometimes the high usage cost may even outstrip the cost of the copier. This cost becomes especially important for higher copy volumes.

How Quickly Does It Copy?

The speed of a copier consists of the time it takes to put out the first copy and the time per copy after that. If you frequently make single copies, the former can be important. Very high speeds are expensive and seldom required unless there is large number of staff or specific volume usage requirements.

How much does it cost to rent a copier?

To determine the rent price depends mainly on the type of copier you are looking for. There are other factors to consider, such as maintenance, repairs and upgrades. Here are some examples and comparison of the different prices:

Low end copiers (< 30 ppm) prices are the lowest per month.

High-volume copiers ( 30-40 ppm ) can be rent at mid-range pricing per month.

High-end copiers ( > 40 ppm) range is the most expensive and highest per month.

How much does a photocopying machine cost?

For new photocopying machines, a lower-end, colour-printing model will cost the lowest with the speed at 25 ppm and below. When purchasing these machines, do ensure that the companies provide full after- sales servicing which include major items required by a business like toners, spare parts, maintenance and so on.

Can the Copier Fold and Staple?

Many copiers can also perform functions required for the production of material ready to be mailed out. They can print on both sides of a sheet of paper and then assemble, staple and fold sheets as required. These functions save time and are usually available as optional items.
